Frank Farquharson has extensive experience in hydrology and water resource assessment and development and has worked extensively in the UK and Europe and also throughout Africa, the Indian sub-continent, south-east Asia and the Middle East for the past 36 years. He was a hydrologist for Thames Water Authority for two years on groundwater augmentation schemes and development of real-time flood forecasting systems. He worked for the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology for 32 years, initially as part of the team responsible for the UK Flood Studies Report in 1975, and subsequently on a wide range of applied hydrological problems in the UK and worldwide. He has specialised in flood estimation and real-time flood forecasting studies, and on water resource assessment and management projects over a wide range of climates. |
