Paul Holmes has extensive experience in water resource development for city and industrial supply, irrigation and flood control, with regional specialisation in SE Asia and the Portuguese communities. His assignments have included hydrological and hydraulic analysis for river engineering and dam design, reservoir yield and operation, catchment modelling, saline intrusion, hydrographic survey, designing, establishing and operating hydrometric and environmental monitoring networks, design and management of groundwater development programmes, and supervision of water well drilling. In addition to his ongoing involvement with ITTO, his participation in national and international projects has ranged from that of specialist to project manager and team leader, and he has carried out independent reviews of regional water supply schemes for many Asian and African cities.
