RECENT WORK
  • Hydrological Consultant to Essex & Suffolk Water: including AMP4 DO assessment, resources system modelling using Aquator (including VBA customisation), Drought Contingency Planning, probabilistic yield analysis, reliability-based operational policy development and technical support for Aquator.

  • Hydrological modelling (HYSIM) and resource system modelling  (Aquator) of reservoirs in Southern Uplands of  Scotland for Scottish and Northern Ireland Forum for Environmental Research (SNIFFER).

  • Rainfall frequency/intensity/duration analysis, arid zone rainfall-runoff modelling, and flood frequency/magnitude/volume analysis for Kuwait City storm water drainage master plan and Jeddah storm water drainage design, Saudi Arabia. Development of the Arid Regions Rainfall-Runoff Model (ARRRM) used for flood hydrograph design.

  • Advice and assistance in assessing rainfall and resources of remote upland sources in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland on behalf of North of Scotland Water Authority.

  • Reviewing and reassessing the yield of all major water supply sources (surface and groundwater) in Northern Ireland as part of the Northern Ireland Water Resources Strategy Review.

  • Audit of FORTRAN program code and conceptual basis for Bewl-Darwell Resource System Model for Southern Water Services.

  • Development of custom-built Microsoft Access project management data base for DETR building research projects on behalf of surveying consultancy.
