Dr Lowing has 30 years experience in flood estimation, water resource studies, hydrometric data management, digital mapping and project direction. Whilst offering expert overviews based on a wide variety of practical experience in the UK and overseas, he also continues a close involvement with software development and application at working level. He has written a number of data capture and analysis programs for Chiltern Digitising Services, specialising in hydrometric data and in mapped water features. He is the author of the rainfall-runoff method of flood estimation described in the UK Flood Studies Report and of the British Standard on Hydrometric Data Management. |
