Dr Mandeville specialises in strengthening all aspects of the operation of hydrological services for overseas governments, from basic data collection through hydrometeorological analysis to management of the water resource. He has lived abroad for over 15 years, working on this type of long-term project in 5 different countries. He has also undertaken a substantial number of regional hydrological studies using comprehensive data sets, many from overseas, in the fields of rainfall-runoff models, actual evapotranspiration, flow duration curves, flood frequency, low flow frequency, seasonal rainfall and specific runoff. Author of the RIS method of hydrograph analysis of storm events.
