He has lived abroad for over 15 years, working on this type of long-term project in 5 different countries. He has also undertaken a substantial number of regional hydrological studies using comprehensive data sets, many from overseas, in the fields of rainfall-runoff models, actual evapotranspiration, flow duration curves, flood frequency, low flow frequency, seasonal rainfall and specific runoff. Author of the RIS method of hydrograph analysis of storm events.
