LASER

sf-laser.gifLASER (Liming Acid Systems for Environmental Restoration) was developed by Water Resource Associates to assist with design and operation of liming systems to increase the pH of acid streams, lakes and reservoirs.

LASER allows an arbitrarily complex river system to be defined in terms of river reaches which have no dosing, reaches which have lime dosing and reservoirs. The only requirement is that confluences have only one outflow reach.

LASER version 1.0 is currently in use by the Environment Agency (UK) for assessing the liming options on streams, reservoirs and rivers in Wales.

LASER runs on Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or Windows NT.
