PTFIT automatically interprets pumping test data and gives a measure of the goodness of fit. Large diameter wells pumping in leaky aquifers can be analysed . The Theis, Jacob, Hantush (leaky aquifer) and Papadopulos methods are all special cases of the general solution used by the software. It is the only method we know which can cope automatically with multi-rate pumping regimes.

A free copy of this software can be downloaded for evaluation purposes (ptfit.zip). Please note:

1. It is important to read instal.txt before installation.
2. If you use WinZip you must check the "Use folder names" box. If you use PKZIP25 you must use the -directories option.

The software works on windows 3.1 & windows 95/98/ME/XP. For reading help files you need word 97(not essential) for auto graphing of PTFIT output you need excel 97(not essential).
